The new parents are pictured with our little grandson. This brings the total number to seven grandsons and seven granddaughters!

Baby Max joins the family!
Maxwell David Arnold was born on March 30 in Paris, France. He weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and measured almost 20 inches. He is "just perfect."
California vacation
My sister, Elaine, and I said our "good-byes" in Santa Barbara in late February. Ned and I spent a long weekend in California enjoying sunshine, great company, lovely gardens, delicious food and incredible scenery!
A big change in our lives!
In early January 2009, we began the process of submitting our missionary applications. Not knowing exactly when it would happen, we accomplished tasks at home in preparation for leaving "sometime in the near future." On March 4, our call came . . . we will be serving in the Asia Area Mission, located in Hong Kong. Ned will serve as the executive secretary to the area presidency, with Margaret as his assistant. A different life for the next 18 months: living in a city of approximately 7 million people - a 600 square foot apartment on the 12th floor of a high-rise, working in an office a 10-minute walk from our residence, spending one night a week helping at the Hong Kong Temple, helping and teaching Filipino women on Sundays, and anything else we are asked to do. There will also be many moments of missing our family, especially those 14 grandchildren!!
